In 1908 Melitta Bentz revolutionized the world of coffee and invented what we know as pour over. Today, one might call that a start-up. Following the spirit of their founder, Melitta today still aims to reinvent itself, create innovations that inspire and take coffee lovers to new horizons. This was the starting point of Melitta Momentum: a beautifully crafted product series dedicated to the process and taste experience of pour over coffee.
After crafting the identity, packaging and tonality of the whole product range – from the elegant hand brewer AMANO, the first electrical pour over system EPOS or the high end drip coffee maker ERA – the next step was to introduce them to pour over fans across the world. Through a communication campaign that reflects the love for details that make up Melitta Momentum.

It all started with coffee. From the invention of the first coffee filter in 1908 to today, where we experience a true renaissance of pour over coffee. Coffee lovers appreciate the process, from choosing the right bean to the slow pouring of water. At the same time Melitta redesigned the tools for coffee making, from filter to machines, to create a beautiful and modern product range. We were asked to develop their naming, identity, packaging and imagery – resulting in the premium brand called Melitta Momentum, which we communicated through a German-wide campaign in cinemas and socials. Momentum stands for never standing still – but also taking your time to enjoy. Because every moment can be the start of a journey.
